In the Proz.com site, you can meet people like yourselves, language lovers and nerds with a passion for languages, looking to learn from other people with the same passion, but who have been at it a bit longer. Proz has forums for translators and interpreters with queries, as well as other very interesting tools that are extremely useful. However, these benefits require you to be a premium member.
LinkedIn is also an extremely important site for a language professional but is not limited to specialists in the field. In its own words, it "is the world's largest professional network on the internet." It adds that you can "use LinkedIn to find the right job or internship, connect and strengthen professional relationships, and learn the skills you need to succeed in your career." I also recommend the premium account as it provides an endless amount of high-quality learning in different fields with certifications.
